This conference was organized by Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran and supported by Indonesia Physical Society (Himpunan Fisika Indonesia \/HFI),\u00a0Indonesian Optical Society (InOS)<span lang=\"EN-US\"> and Materials Research Society of Indonesia (MRS-Id)<\/span>. This symposium is aimed at enhancing communications among the researchers in physics and related fields to their contribution on material functionalization and energy conservations.<br \/>\nThis Conference brings 13 invited speakers from Indonesian and from several counties such as Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, USA and France. There are more than 43 oral presentations and 67 poster presentations.
